Head Coach Josh

Josh Griffin is in his third year as head coach of the Applewood Athletic Club Swim Team. He is the head upper division coach and assists with lower division practices. Josh promotes the team philosophy of developing swimmer fitness and technique, while encouraging swimmers to participate in a variety of different events. The lower division places a strong emphasis on the development of all four competitive strokes with each swimmer, while the upper division emphasizes preparing swimmers to compete at the high school level and beyond.

In addition to his responsibilities as head coach of the AAC Swim Team, Josh is a high school Social Studies teacher at D'Evelyn Junior/Senior High School in Jefferson County. For the past five years, Josh has been the head coach of the D'Evelyn High School girls swimming and diving team, and has coached the boys swim team for the past two years. Prior to working at D'Evelyn, Josh worked as the head boys swimming and diving coach at Mullen High School.

Josh's previous coaching experience includes serving as an age group coach and the head coach at Pinehurst Country Club, as well as the assistant senior group coach with the North Jeffco Swim Team. Josh has additionally worked as a lessons instructor and pool manager of both Pinehurst Country Club and Rolling Hills Country Club.
